Our History

The Club was formed in 1966 to compete in Group 8, Second Division. After winning the Premiership in 1967 the Club was promoted into First Division in 1968. Moves commenced in 1971 to establish a Licensed Club and Incorporation was granted in 1972. After a number of unsuccessful bids the Club was granted a licence in 1974 and building plans were approved in 1975. Using voluntary labour wherever possible, building commenced in 1976 and the Club opened in May 1977. Since then the building, while still retaining some of its original character, has been enlarged to accommodate a new entrance foyer, restaurant, auditorium, function rooms, a modern gaming lounge, new administration areas, sports and TAB Facilities.
